Kjell Purnell

In 2006 Kjell Purnell successfully negotiated and joined his firm with Goldleaf Financial Solution, Inc. of Nashville, TN, as an asset transaction. His role within GFSI as Senior Vice President of Development, is providing an experience with Senior/Executive Management with a public company.

As president of PTC Banking Systems, Inc., Mr. Purnell was responsible for managing and developing the vision for company's products ( WinTELLER), managing product development and support, managing the sales force, and maintaining reseller relationships . He is or was a member of the Suncoast Technology, The Biztank CEO Group, Manatee Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council, and past member of Florida Bankers Association, Pennsylvania Technology Council, Pennsylvania Bankers Association, Indiana Bankers Association, Ohio Bankers Association, Kentucky Bankers Association and UnitiEast, an ITI users group.

Mr. Purnell has served as president of PTC Banking Systems since 1988 and during that time, he was recognized several times as salesman of the year as a reseller for EZ Teller™. In 1999 Kjell worked with Olin Broadway on several wrap up projects, including the current PTC acquisition of the WinTELLER product line. Prior to joining PTC, Mr. Purnell worked for MiniData, where he served as sales executive from 1984 to 1988.

Mr. Purnell is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sarasota Christian School, and is Chairman of the Finance Committee , with 50+ employees and a 3.5M+ budget.

Mr. Purnell is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Faith Foundation for Youth, a non-profit organization focused on culturally relevant activities for youth, with operations including the Compound Board shop and Crosstown Skate Park.

Mr. Purnell is the Treasurer of the Athletic Booster Club at SCS, and also currently a Counselor with Christian Financial Concepts, (Crown Financial Ministries).

Mr. Purnell holds a bachelor of science degree from Westminster College in Westminster Pennsylvania and resides with his wife, Chris, daughter, Lindy, and son, Spence in Sarasota, FL.

Mr. Purnell was born 1962 in Arcadia California. Moved to New Jersey in 1980 and attended Westminster College, PA and graduated in 1984. He, wife Chris and children moved to Florida in 2001.
